What we sell. Live road alerts and GPS-to-mile-marker lookups for your software. Also files of mile markers and past road alerts.
Who buys it. Fleet, dispatch, navigation, freight, insurance, media and government teams.
What it costs. The API starts at $0 and Business is $299 a month. Data licenses are a flat yearly fee, quoted.
API. Your software asks MileCheck for data when it needs it. Each request counts toward your daily limit. Plans have a fixed monthly price based on how many calls you need a day.
Data license. We deliver a file for your own systems. You pay a flat yearly fee, with no call limits.
Mile markers come both ways. Live road alerts are an API. Past alerts are a data license. Seattle bridge lift history comes both ways.

The same data runs MileCheck's own app, so these screens are real output.

Each plan has a daily call limit.
The Milepost dataset and the Historical archive are each a flat yearly fee. We quote it from how you use the data and how often you want updates. There are no call limits. Ask for a sample file before you decide.
Turn a caller's GPS point into the highway and mile marker crews use. Use the API lookup for single calls, or the dataset for your own maps.
Show live closures and crashes in your dispatch screens through one API, instead of one connection per state.
Put mile markers on your map from the dataset. Add live alerts from the API.
See alerts from neighboring states and provinces in the same format as your own.
Use the archive to see when we saw closure and crash reports on a route or near a place, and how long they stayed on the feed.
Use the archive to count drawbridge lifts and road alerts by date. In the 30 days to Oct 15, 2026, Seattle's Ballard Bridge lifted 259 times. The median lift was about 4 minutes.
Take the API if your software needs live alerts or one mile marker at a time. Take a data license if you want the whole mile marker file or past alerts inside your own systems. You can buy both.
Only requests that reach our server count toward your daily limit.
Yes. The Developer plan is $0 for 1,000 calls a day. The API page has a live test of the mile marker lookup. For a data license, ask for a sample file.
Email sales@milecheckapp.com with what you are building. We send a key. The API page shows how to send it with each request.
No. The dataset license lets you show the data in your product. It does not cover resale.
Ten states' live feeds do not carry crashes. The API says so for those states. It does not return a zero that looks like a quiet road.
Live alerts cover British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba. The Milepost dataset also has kilometre markers for ten Canadian provinces and territories.
Mile marker positions come from state DOT reference-marker datasets. Road alerts come from each state and provincial DOT feed. The data sources page lists each one.
The partners page covers the fleet add-in, the white-label SDK and sponsorships.
