Seasonal closures
33 roads in 9 states that close for the winter on a schedule the agency publishes. One page per road: what the state DOT feed is posting for it right now, and the closing and reopening dates quoted from the agency's own page with the date they were read. Closing date varies by year. The 2025 closure was Dec. 4.

They do not say a road is open. They show the reports the DOT feed holds for the route, and they quote the dates the agency gives. A quiet feed means nothing is posted, and the page says that in those words. Agencies sometimes announce a seasonal gate on their own site and not in the feed, so the agency link on each page is the one to open before a drive.
