Can you sleep at a rest area in Kentucky?

Only briefly. Stays are limited to 4 hours in any 24 hours.

Cars

4 hours in any 24-hour period at rest areas on limited-access highways. The Transportation Cabinet can allow longer stays for safety.

Trucks

Same 4-hour limit. Trailers can't be dropped or used as a relay point.

Camping and tents

The rule doesn't address camping.

Signs at a rest area can set a different limit. Follow the posted sign. Turnpike and toll-road service plazas often have their own rules.
