How do I find a mile marker on a map?
Google Maps and Apple Maps don't have a mile marker layer. To see one on a map, open the MileCheck mile marker map, pick a state and a highway, and type the mile. The map shows the recorded marker for that number.
On the website
The mile marker map covers all 50 states. Choose the state, then the route. Each pin is a milepost position from state DOT data. Some are points the state published, others are placed along the route. Positions are approximate. If the number you asked for is missing, it shows a nearby recorded post and names its mile.
In the app
The MileCheck app's map has a mile marker layer. Turn it on with the MP button. It also shows your own position and the nearest mile marker as you drive. The map is part of Premium.

Questions, answered
Can I see mile markers in Google Street View?
Sometimes a camera car passed one. It is a photo from that day, not a layer you can search.
Is the map accurate to the sign?
Close, not exact. Some states publish their mile markers as points. Others publish only a route line, and the points are placed along it at each mile.
