Reading the space number

"43 of 120 left" means 43 drive-up vehicle spaces remain of the 120 on that sailing, as WSDOT last reported it. "Full" with a number after it means more cars are already in line than the boat holds. Reservable spaces, where a route sells them, are shown separately. Counts move fast in the last half hour before departure. They are a planning signal, not a promise.

What this page covers

Every Washington State Ferries route. Sailing space comes from the terminals that report it (Anacortes, Bainbridge Island, Bremerton, Clinton, Seattle, Edmonds, Friday Harbor, Coupeville, Kingston, Mukilteo, Orcas Island, Point Defiance, Port Townsend). Fauntleroy, Vashon, Southworth, Tahlequah, Lopez and Shaw show their cameras and boats but do not report space. Route lines are drawn approximately, not from the vessels' tracks. Cameras are WSDOT's, refreshed on their schedule.
