There is no nearby detour. With the bridge shut, US 101 can't cross the Hoh River. Getting between Forks and Kalaloch means going back east around the Olympic Peninsula and down through Aberdeen. Plan on several extra hours. WSDOT's posted way around: US 101 along Hood Canal, then SR 108, or SR 8 to US 12 into Aberdeen.
