Only warnings that matter behind the wheel: winter storms, blizzards, ice storms and snow squalls; hurricanes, tropical storms and storm surge; flash floods and river floods; severe thunderstorms, tornadoes and dust storms; and high-wind warnings. Heat advisories, marine warnings, and other non-driving alerts are filtered out — this is a road map, not a forecast site.

Where does the data come from?

Weather warnings come from the National Weather Service live alert feed and refresh every 5 minutes. Hurricane forecast tracks and cones come from the National Hurricane Center. Radar is NOAA NEXRAD data served by the Iowa Environmental Mesonet. Road closures come live from state departments of transportation via MileCheck.
